It’s Thanksgiving, so it seems appropriate to talk about some monsters and ghouls who have been in the news lately.
The Senators cited Bolante in contempt for being evasive although according to Bolante himself he is not lying, but some Senators told him on his face that he’s not telling the truth.I think lying and not telling the truth has the same meaning if we ask the first gentleman,Mike Arroyo when he called JDV “Sinungaling!”.
Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is being “crucified” like Jesus Christ in various opinion surveys, according to San Pablo of Cebu. He even questioned himself “Since when in this country was a person convicted of an offense as a result of an opinion survey?”
“Pontius Pilate presented to the people and said who would you prefer Jesus or Barabas to crucify? Our Lord Jesus lost in the opinion survey and so he was crucified,” This was the sermon of Pablo Garcia in the impeachment hearing.
The rodent from Pangasinan reacted and said the comparison was “stretching it too far. President Arroyo is not our Lord,”
My question; if Arroyo is not the Congressman and Congresswoman lord, who is she? I can draw the conclusion that she is maybe the daughter of Barabas. Aha! this time the people from Alaminos can rejoice that their Congressman is redeeming himself.
The Congress allies of Gloria Arroyo are working hard to convince the general public that the move to amend the 1987 Constitution is not about term extensions. Still they have the nerve to claim that Charter change (Cha-cha) will not bring about any term extension, and that talk on this is all rumor and innuendo, claiming further that there is no resolution that has been submitted calling for term extensions, when there is already such a one—the Mandanas resolution, seeking a poll postponement plus term extensions for all elective incumbent officials.
It is no secret that a lot of Gloria allies in the House of Representatives and also in the Senate, are worried over their chances of an electoral victory in 2010. They have been going against the voice of their constituents who want an end to the Gloria regime. Besides, even as they are in power and position today, and allied with Gloria, these same allies have not been able to uplift the miserable conditions of the poor among their constituents and there have been very little, if at all, of any infrastructure improvements in their districts to improve their lives, or to give them jobs. Worse, they know that their constituents see them living it up in luxury while the people suffer in poverty and misery.
These corrupt lawmakers need to impeach San Pablo’s lord and crucify her if the Congress are to prove to the Filipino people they have any moral fiber left.
The moral question for all Filipinos is how much longer are they to put up with a government that doesn’t represent the will of our people? (Or does it?) Is “the Silent Majority” in favor of Gloria’s aims to steal more, or are they just cowards and/or too lazy to demand her removal, along with all of his Neocon henchmen?
Are Filipino’s silent because they are asleep to the danger the Arroyo regime is creating for them? Or are they silent because the media have confused them to the point they have given up and turned on something more entertaining?
My question is, What are we going to do about it? Grumble and then go back to watching Pinoy Fear Factor or some other useless fantasy dreamed up by the media to distract us from our duty as free men and women?
Or have the majority of Filipino resigned themselves to not being free, as long as the 3 kilos NFA keeps rolling along? And the rest of us, who know better, are resigned to being dragged to our fate by the rest?
Impeachment of Gloria would be a good start. They don’t want to impeach Arroyo and make Noli De Castro President and they don’t want to impeach both and make Juan Ponce Enrile President, either. Reading Enrile’s gushing speech to the Senate and to Filipino people should alert us that he would be even more willing than Arroyo to use his power to restore freedom in our country.I don’t know,Maybe,I was reading Enrile’s speech way back 1986.
Ideally, most of Congress should also be impeached for tacitly going along with Gloria Arroyo’s election cheating, but that’s not practical. We have bigger fish to fry.
Impeaching Arroyo and De Castro, while getting someone truly trustworthy (Korina Sanches, maybe) to step into Enrile’s spot to run the country and begin a process of rooting out the Neocons in the various departments, especially at Justice Department and Ombudsman, would be a good start.
Then let the trials begin. These drastic moves should convince those in our government who secretly sold our country to Chinese for self special interests, that the Filipino people will not tolerate any more of this madness.
But will enough Filipinos stir themselves to do anything toward reclaiming our country?
Let me digress for a moment to remind you that revolution and asserting our God-given rights to self-government are fun. It is very empowering to see our protests bring down a smug and evil regime, such as the Marcos administration was. There was no civil war involved there, too – and mass protests helped end it.
Engaging the machinery to impeach Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will do the same now.
